Saint Agathi was from the city of Palermo in Sicily. She lived during the reign of King Dekias. She was exceptionally beautiful and had a Christian soul. Her wealthy parents died when she was 15 years old. Agathe decided to dedicate her life to the Church and spent her wealth organizing charities to help her religion and everyone who needed help in the Christian World. The Orthodox Church celebrates her feast day on February 5.
